Email notifications can be send when a workflow task is added or after a workflow task has been completed. This knowledge base article explains how to configure the SMTP connection part.
In order to proceed the SMTP server settings in the web.config file of the ZyLAB Workflow (Business Process Automation Bundle 2.4) has to be specified.
Go to: \Program files\zylab\workflow\webroot and open the web.config file.
Fill in a valid email address in the SMTP section.
It is possible to use an external SMTP server.
However, it is recommended to use the local SMTP server on the ZyLAB Enterprise Webserver.
As a prerequisite, this feature has to be installed on the server.
Follow these steps to configure to local SMTP server: (In Internet Information Manager 6.0, you can configure the SMTP Server)
- Right-click on the item SMTP Virtual Server #1 and click Properties.
- Specify the Connection and Relay settings in the Access tab.
- In the 'Delivery' tab you can specify a valid domain name and smart host in the Advanced settings.
When you have applied the correct settings you can send a pin code to a user to test the SMTP server connection.
