ZySCAN or ZyINDEX will not start due to Roaming profile

SYMPTOMS

When using a roaming profile in Windows, it may be possible that local access permissions are overwritten and will prevent the opening of ZySCAN and ZyINDEX. You will get following error when opening ZySCAN or ZyINDEX: "Unable to acquire a license. All available licenses are in use. If you have additional keys, now is a good time to install them". You observe that ZyFIND will open without any errors.

CAUSE

The server roaming profile will overwrite the local one making local administrative permissions to be set as local user permissions only.

RESOLUTION

You can create a new Domain profile and remove the one on the affected workstation. When the user logs on to the workstation, a new local/roaming profile will be created where the user will remain to be a local administrator.
