Functionality to locate indexes will corrupt the indexlist.xml

SYMPTOMS

When you start ZyFIND for the first time it will ask you if it should locate existing indexes.

Whey you then happen to have a ZyIMAGE index on your machine it will place old style index info in the indexlist.xml as follows:

MYINDEX,C:\ZyLAB data\indexes\MYINDEX.ic1

At the end of the locate process, ZyFIND will show an empty index list dialog.

The problem will show when you then try to create and index with ZyINDEX...the index list will become corrupted if you try to create and index or if you try to add to the index list.

CAUSE

It is currently not clear what causes this.

RESOLUTION

When ZyFIND asks you "Do you want to locate existing indexes?",  select "No".
