Clicking Open or New job in ZySCAN takes a long time

SYMPTOMS

In ZySCAN it is slow or it takes longer than normal when you click the "new" or "open" job buttons.

CAUSE

Having a large number of jobs in the job root can cause it to take longer to display the new or open dialog boxes.

RESOLUTION

• Open ZySCAN.
• Click the "Delete Job" button.
• Select one or more jobs you wish to delete.
• Click OK.
• The jobs are deleted.      

A warning can be set to help you maintain a maximum that works best for your environment. The warning is set to a default limit of 200 completed jobs. If you try to create a job when 200 completed jobs are in the job root you will get a warning message that will allow you to delete completed jobs.

• Open ZySCAN.
• Click Options|Global Options.
• Click the "Define" button by File System Warnings.
• Set the "Maximum number of finished jobs in the Job Root" number to a number that suits your requirements.
• Click OK
