SYMPTOMSIn Legal Review security you have imported an AD group and want members of that group to be able to login to Legal Review and obtain the permissions of the role you assigned to the group. Once the user attempts to log in to Legal Review you observe that the permissions of the role are not assigned.
CAUSEThis problem may occur if you imported an AD Distribution group rather than an AD Security group. A Distribution group is intended to be used solely as an email distribution list. not for assigning permissions. A Security group allows you to manage usesr and computer access to shared resources.
RESOLUTIONEnsure to import an AD Security group to allow members of the group to access Legal Review with the permissions of the role that is assigned to the group.
