Failed to initialize image processor. ERR_PROT_CANT_RUN_LICENSE

SYMPTOMS

Legal Processing TIFF producer actions fail with message: Failed to initialize image processor. ERR_PROT_CANT_RUN_LICENSE SWER-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx ERR_PROT_NO_FREE_LICENSE_VOUCHERS.

CAUSE

This error is thrown when Legal Processing - TIFF Producer is requesting the Global Professional OCR license file to be available.

RESOLUTION

In some cases, ZySCAN Service is still running on the Processing node. The ZySCAN Service is consuming one of the available cores in the Global Professional OCR license. In case you have a single core license, this license will always be in use if ZySCAN Service is active, causing the Legal Processing - TIFF Producer to fail, regardless of the retry mechanism that is build in to retry the license check if it is not available at first. By disabling the ZySCAN Service, the license is available again and you should be able to restart the previously failed TIFF Producer actions.
