Failed to initialize image processor error during processing phase

SYMPTOMS

A failed task is referenced in the Actions tab of a Legal Processing Matter. The following error is revealed after, double-clicking the line of the failing action ID:

Failed to initialize image processor

The ZyLAB.EDiscovery.ProcessingService.WinService.exe log (found in \ProgramData\ZyLAB\EDiscovery\Logging), references the following entry for the failing action:

ERROR ZyLAB.EDiscovery.ProcessingService.Common.Proxy.DataServiceClientProxy - Error occurred during Processor: action ID (.....) error: Failed to initialize image processor.

CAUSE

Global Professional OCR Engine 1.1 is not installed or not licensed (the .ELF file is missing) which prevents the OCR engine from running.

RESOLUTION

Install the Global Professional OCR Engine 1.1 or ensure that the license is in the correct location for the engine to be able to start: \Program Files (x86)\ZyLAB\ZyIMAGE Global Professional OCR\bin
