How to use the ZySCANService commandline options to create a job template

SYMPTOMS

ZySCAN has a command line option -j that can be used to create a job template (without starting up ZySCAN). This setting can be used to optionally add a job template to the command line parameters which are used by the ZySCAN Service.

CAUSE

Not applicable.

RESOLUTION

Because job template creation requires a lot of parameters, this is a example line what the command line should conform to:

Start with -j, -J, /j or /J

Command line parameters can only be entered when the service is started manually from the “Services” dialog (that can be invoked from the Control Panel).

Command line parameters can not be entered when the service is started automatically when the system boots.
ZySCANService first checks if valid command line parameters have been entered.
