After stand-alone installation of ZyFIND on a workstation, user receives the error message "The license system could not be initialized. Maybe there is a problem with the installation?"
License manager is not installed on the computer. Therefore, ZyFIND is unable to recognize the workstation as having valid licensing.
In the Windows registry, navigate to:
- (Windows 7): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ZyLAB\ZyBUILD\ Installed Components\Users\Preferences
- (Windows XP): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ZyLAB\ZyBUILD\Installed Components\Users\Preference
Modify the registry entry "location" on the workstation(s) as a UNC path to the user directory on the server environment (generally found in \ZyLAB Data\Users).
ZyFIND should then recognize and validate the AD string connection to the license manager on the server.
