Some Excel files will be empty after Legal Production of native documents.

SYMPTOMS

When producing native documents in Legal Production, Microsoft Excel files open but do not display all or partial content. In Legal Review, all of the content in the affected Excel file is displayed.

CAUSE

This is caused when the original file content is partially or fully hidden. When an original file contains hidden cells Legal Production will produce the native file using the original formatting and not unhide the content.

RESOLUTION

To display the hidden information after production:

• Open the Excel file in the native application.
• Go to View and click on Unhide.
• Select the workbook or cells to unhide.
• Press on OK.

The content that was initially hidden will be shown.

Alternatively, the documents can be produced as images which will represent the same view experienced in Legal Review.
