SYMPTOMS
When using the TIFF Producer (TIFF printing), Excel files you notice some tables are unreadable and appear pixilated beyond what you might expect.
CAUSE
Bitmap (Raster) fonts don't scale very well. If they are used for values in a table in the Excel file they may become distorted and pixilated.
RESOLUTION
Use native format review when you have TIFF printed Excel files with tables containing bitmap fonts.
- Should you wish to review the TIFF representation of TIFF printed Excel files containing bitmap fonts in tables, you could decide to change the font of the original Excel file into a True Type font as these font types are scalable and will be TIFF printed correctly.
- After this, collect and reprocess this file.
